Home from our holiday and jet lagged, then Sophia turned 2 the next day...I whipped this out in one evening, a heart with a pond on the top...considering my time restraint it turned out pretty well.
I am blessed with a beautiful family and the opportunity to enjoy them while they are still little. My Grandmother was in service as a cook all of her life...watching her make amazing food in a warm and inviting kitchen, made me love the creative side of cooking...I enjoy the whole process. Weighing the ingredients, watching it cook in the oven and best of all happy faces and full tummy’s. You can’t take it too seriously when you know it will soon disappear! Having my kids and being fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with them (due to a fantastic husband) has allowed me to downsize and enjoy the kitchen like my Grandmother did. Making cakes is my way of staying creative in my days full of cleaning and boring household chores. I have found I am good at it and I am learning all the time. It has brought me a lot of fun and satisfaction.
