Another busy few weeks....the first is a close up of the toppers on a promotion cake...those guys are harder to make than they look and then you have to make them stay put LOL...I liked making the figures, so I am going to keep working on them...I think getting really good at those would be a useful skill...then I did another ice cream cake, you cannot make them so pretty as they cannot use fondant and they have to be frozen, but gosh they taste good....cadburys chocolate and cream for the coating, moist chocolate and ice cream layers.....very rich.

The three tier was chocolate and yellow cake...with swiss meringue buttercream, it's a new recipe and it tastes amazing...very light and smooth...sadly hard to make, but I guess thats why it tastes so good.

A mixed bunch, and my first Ice cream cake (it's the chocolate one) I used thin sponge slices, brushed them with Baileys, then layer of cookes and cream ice cream, then I covered the whole thing with Chocolate Ganache and froze it...it was amazing, but definately only for the adults.
I like the Thomas as I think the trees I painted turned out really well. Going to use this technique more often.
